Sales Estimator /Designer
Type of Position: Full-Time
Hours per week: 40-50+
General Description
Sales Estimator/Designer is responsible for all sales activities from lead generation to sale close. Develops and implements agreed upon marketing activities which will meet both personal and business goals of expanding customer base in the marketing area. Estimator/Designer must be a team player and work with the sales team for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation and long-term account goals in line with company vision and values.
Responsibilities
- Familiarize self with and use Goodmanson Construction’s pricing matrices when estimating projects.
- Follows “Sales Personnel Job Duties” outline to ensure a consistent, smooth chain of events from first sales call to final payment collection for each and every project.
- Demonstrates product, pricing, proposal and selling knowledge.
- Develops business plan in conjunction of sales team, which details activities helping to meet and exceed sales quota.
- Demonstrates the ability to communicate with all types of customers and all members of the business.
- Maximizes all opportunities of closing sales.
- Responsible for sourcing and developing customer relationships and referrals.
- Responsible for identifying and building effective networks with other professionals to maximize revenue.
- Adheres to company policies, procedures, and business ethics.
- Participates and contributes to the development of the sales department.
- Maintains contact with all customers to ensure high level of customer satisfaction.
- Interacts with all company employees.
- Fosters motivation, focuses on customers, solves problems creatively and demonstrates high integrity.
- Builds and maintains professional relationships internally and externally.
Sales Personnel Job Duties
- Generate own leads
- Flyer (50-100 daily, 6 days/week), talk to people, call businesses, mailings to center of influence, ask for referrals, network, etc.
- Go on “house calls” to potential customers’ home or business.
- Gather all pertinent information and measurements from customer, follow Goodmanson pricing guidelines, develop drawing to give to project manager, develop electronic proposal and present to custom
following Goodmanson Signature Service.
- When customer decides to go with Goodmanson have customer sign all pages of proposal, collect 1/3 down payment, take before picture to e-mail to sale coordinator, complete new file process.
- When job is complete, collect final payment, ask for referrals, send thank you card.
- Check messages daily in wall folder and e-mail.
- If estimate does not fit your schedule, it is your responsibility to reschedule.
- Be available via your cell phone for customer calls.
- Maintain your own schedule and prioritize your tasks.
- Learn about Goodmanson Construction and our services, utilize company tools, and keep up with new techniques and technologies.
- Understand the “basics” and individualize to fit your strengths.
- Assist with the planning and presentation for trade shows and networking meetings.
- Be a go-getter and a team player.
Qualifications: 3+ years experience in Sales industry & experience in construction industry preferred. Proficient computer knowledge on PC and Mac including Word and Excel.
We are looking for dependable people to build relationships with potential customers. Must be goal oriented with excellent communication skills. Previous sales experience, and experience with construction preferred. Salary: DOQ
Mechanic
We are looking for an experienced mechanic to work on trucks and construction equipment. 20-40 hours a week. Job duties would entail: Preventative and routine maintenance, minor repairs, welding, keeping the shop organized, and cleaning equipment daily. Salary: DOQ
Driver/Crewman
We are also looking for dependable people to join our highly trained crew on construction projects. Our company provides a great learning environment and advancement opportunities. Applicants must have a Class “A” Commercial driver’s license (CDL). Average work week is 50 hours. Salary: DOQ
