Step by step guide of our installation process:

Our retaining walls are constructed from Minnesota made materials and are all environmentally sound!

WALL LOCATION
We use a laser level to determine wall height and will then verify the location with the homeowner.

EXCAVATION
To ensure the wall remains straight and level and to allow for proper drainage:
The trench for the footings will be 12” wider than the block chosen and 6” deeper than the height of the block with a 6” base of power tamped recycled concrete. The soil behind the wall will be excavated to allow for geosynthetic reinforcement material, river rock and drain tile.

FOOTINGS
For strength and stability:
The footings will extend a minimum of 6” in front of and behind the first course of block and will be a minimum of 6” thick after compaction. If the grade along the wall front will change elevation, the footings may be stepped up to match the grade change.

CONSTRUCTION OF WALL
To ensure a structurally sound and beautifully finished wall:
We construct the wall in accordance to the block manufacturers requirements and engineering design. The base course of block will be buried and leveled side to side and front to back. This will ensure that the wall above the base course can be placed properly.

DRAINAGE SYSTEM
To take pressure away from the wall and facilitate proper drainage:
We will construct the wall with a pre-designed drainage system which helps control water drainage, erosion and will keep the wall structurally sound. The surface will be graded to facilitate proper drainage.

SITE CLEAN-UP
We will brush off the wall and will pick up any and all debris left from the construction process and haul it away. All adjacent areas affected by our work will be cleaned immaculately.
